Morgan Hill voters have an opportunity to make their school
district the envy of the region. When music instruction is a dusty
memory for most local schools, MH has a chance to reinvigorate
music, arts, agricultural studies and sports, as well as upgrade
technology that would be an educational boon for students who are
excelling and for those struggling with math and reading
– for less than $100 a year per family for five years.

Measure E will raise $96 per parcel per year for five years. It would raise between $1.2 million and $1.5 million annually, solely for the Morgan Hill Unified School District. None of the money would be used for administrative costs.

There will be an exemption available for senior citizens and a citizen oversight committee will ensure money will be spent as promised.

It’s a good idea at a time when public education continues to be an afterthought in Sacramento. It’s an investment in Morgan Hill’s future. We urge a yes vote on Measure E.
