Mary Perry died at age 91 of natural causes. Mary was the first of six children born to Ivanica and Jerome Sorich.
She migrated to the US as a young child from Croatia and spent her childhood in Chicago. As an adult, she served in World War II in the Coast Guard. She later married Frank Perry and settled on a ranch in Morgan Hill with her family.
Mary spent over a decade working as a substitute teacher, including teaching her native language of Croatian. She also enjoyed teaching piano, sewing and painting.
She is survived by her son Joseph, her sister Emily Pesta and brother Walter Sorich.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 8th, 2012, and Johnson Funeral Home from 4:00-8:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Funeral services on May 9th, 2012, at 10:00 A.M., St. Catherines Church, Morgan Hill.
