After finishing the season with an 8-3 record, the Central Coast Barnstormers will host a playoff game at 3 p.m. Saturday at Anzar High in San Juan Bautista.
The Barnstormer, who finished in third place during the regular season, will play the South Bay Stallions (5-6) in the first round of the Pacific Coast Football League playoffs.
It’s the third game played in San Benito County for the Barnstormers this year and the first at Anzar High’s Barragan Field.
It’s the second game between the Barnstormers and the Stallions this year. In April, the Barnstormers won 42-6.
The Barnstormers average more than 28 points per game this year. Their defense allows 20 points per game.
Their offense is led by running back Daunte Mills, who has ran for 501 yards on 71 carries. He has six touchdowns. Derrick Morrison leads the team with seven touchdowns on 73 carries and 481 yards.
Hollister’s Chad Kakebeen leads defense with 38.5 tackles, two fumble recoveries and six interceptions. The Barnstormers’ defense has forced 19 turnovers in 11 games.
