Nancy Marselis died Tuesday, April 19th, 2016, as a result of Alzheimers related complications.
Nancy was a dynamic and caring person, having stated this week “I have just loved my life. I couldn’t imagine having been more lucky.”
She and her husband, Henk, were active participants in their community. Nancy was president of the Home and School Club, co-founder of the Machado Heritage Society, president of the South Valley Symphony, and Creative Arts Alumni for SJSU. She is most recently best known as the arts teacher at Oakwood Country School, where she loved the children she taught, and the privilege to teach them about art. She was a vibrant and loving parent to her sons, valuing her family above all else. She was outspoken, and her laugh and smile were… incredible.
Nancy is survived by her sons, Hans and Thys, their wives, Erica and Irma, grandson, Johannes (and soon to come, Hendrik), her brother, John and her family-in-law in San Francisco and The Netherlands.
