Joseph G. Rose passed away at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital at the age of 92 years. A native and lifelong resident of Hollister, Joseph attended local schools, served with the U.S. Army in Central Europe and Northern France Theatre, and was employed by Ferry Morse Seed Company for 40 years. He was a member of the Elk’s Lodge and Loyal Order Of Moose.

 His survivors are his wife Josephine; son Dennis Rose (Linda-Ann) of Salinas; sister Betty Bettencourt of Hollister; grandchildren David, Holly, and Mark of Watsonville; great-grandchildren Halley, Joseph, Benjamin, Nicolas, and Jacob of Watsonville; daughter-in-law Virginia Rose of Watsonville, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 He was pre-deceased by his son David Rose. Joe loved his family. His other passions were gardening, the S.F. Giants and 49ers, and in his retirement years ballroom dancing.

 As per Joe’s request no services will be held. Donations in Joseph’s name to the American Heart Assn.; Cancer Society, or donors favorite charity are preferred.
