"Living with the Lord"  

Howard Don Ridge returned home to the Lord early Monday morning August 6th, 2012 at the age of 79. Don was born in High Point, NC. He married his teenage sweetheart Nellie Manning and together they shared 58 years of love. Don worked as Director of Personnel for IBM which brought his family to California’s Silicon Valley where he chose to reside here in Morgan Hill.

 Retiring at the age of 55, Don spent life on his ranch home enjoying family, church, golf, gardening, and automobiles. His memberships include that of Morgan Hill Bible Church, San Jose Country Club, and South Valley Model-T Ford Club. He was very active and lived life to its fullest, traveling on golf trips and family vacations.

 Don had an undeniable love for people and would leave a lasting impression on anyone he encountered. He encouraged all to take chances in life and to have faith in the Lord God. He will always be remembered for his generosity and willingness to help family and friends in times of need. His door was always open.

 Don was proceeded in death by his parents, John and Lyde Ridge, his brothers J.B. and Wayne, and his daughter, Donelle Elaine Ridge.

 He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Nellie Ridge, his daughter, Rhonda J. Jones, his grandsons, Antonio Quistian Jr., Steven J. Quistian, Richard R. De Jesus Jr.. His great-granddaughters, Cerenity and Carissa will also cherish Don’s memory as well as the many friends that loved him so very much.

 A service will be held in celebration of Don’s life this Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Morgan Hill Bible Church. 15055 Monterey Hwy, Morgan Hill, Ca. 95037. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don’s honor to this church, in which Don loved and served.
