Here are some things to do in San Benito County this weekend.

1.) Baler Summer Nights: The Baler Backers Athletic Organization is holding its annual dinner/dance and auction fundraiser in support of San Benito High School’s Haybaler Athletic Program, Aug. 18, at the San Benito County Fairgrounds/Bolado Park, from 6 p.m. to midnight, with the dinner served between 7 and 8 p.m. Entertainment is being provided by local band favorite Soul Kiss. Tickets for the 21+ event are $50 each and table reservations of eight are also being accepted. There will be a Live & Silent Auction to raise funds for Baler Athletics, which has seen a severe reduction in its funding due to state budget cuts which have affected California’s school system. 2.) Garden Railroad Tour: The Bay Area Garden Railroad Society and South County Railroaders will host the 18th annual Garden Railroad Tour Aug. 18, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The annual event benefits St. Joseph’s Center and the Community Food Bank. This year’s tour will feature 10 railways running through backyard gardens in Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Hollister and Salinas. Visitors can donate a non-perishable food item or make a monetary donation to St. Joseph’s Family Center or Community Food Bank for San Benito County. 3.) Jazz Under the Stars: The Homeless Coalition of San Benito County is hosting Jazz Under the Stars, a benefit for the homeless coalition and the Save the Music Drive, Aug. 18, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., at St. Benedict’s Hall, 1200 Fairview Road, in Hollister. The event will feature food, wine, a silent auction and music by Joe Ostenson and the Dog House Crew, featuring David Huboi. Tickets are $50 per person, with tables for 10 available for $500. Diamond sponsors can reserve a table for 10 for $1,000. The event is outdoor and attendees should be 21 and over. 4.) The Fifth Wall performs ‘The Neverending Story’: The play runs Aug. 17, 18, 24 and 25 at 8 p.m. at the Vault Restaurant, 452 San Benito St. Tickets are $22 for adults, with $15 admission for public workers, nurses, teachers and students. 5.) Pinnacles monument to host speakers series: Pinnacles National Monument will host a speakers series in August, starting with Interpretation Ranger Jennifer Updyke’s talk on how Pinnacles National Monument has been valued by its inhabitants. Superintendent of the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail Naomi Toress, will talk about the 1,200-mile journey along the trail, Aug. 18, at 2 p.m. at the Visitor Center.
