Two weeks ago, the board postponed voting on a proposal that would have closed three stations and eliminated 10 trains – efforts along with raising ticket fares and parking prices that were intended to assist in closing Caltrain’s $30 million deficit.
The board wanted to delay voting on the revised service changes because members believed they could find additional funding to save the entire line.
Caltrain stations in Gilroy, Morgan Hill and San Martin would not be cut under either proposal.
Under the proposed changes brought before the board two weeks ago, service to the San Francisco-Brisbane Bayshore station, San Mateo Hayward Park station and San Jose Capitol station would be closed.
Under the new proposal, however, no stations would close, Bartholomew said.
The meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Caltrain headquarters in San Carlos.
