The new store Second Tyme Around opened July 20 in downtown Hollister and features an array of “top-quality” vintage furniture as well as plenty of “odds and ends” and home decor throughout, said owner Yvonne Disiato.

The store is at 202 Fifth St. in the former spot of French’s Kitchen & Bath Collectibles & Gifts. The business is categorized into areas that feature certain types of goods, such as those that would fit into a living room, bar, kitchen or garden.

“I just try to make little rooms,” Disiato said.

The antiques and other vintage goods are arranged efficiently and fill out the main floor and other rooms in the store’s back area. The items are a collection that Disiato had in her home, gathering them through the years with hopes of one day opening a store when she retired.

“This is my dream come true,” she said.

She does take consignment and plans to buy more items. The store is open 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. The phone number is 635-5713.
