Designed as a community education center dedicated to earth science and disaster preparedness, the 1,200-square-foot facility allows visitors to look at and learn about rocks, fossils, fluorescent materials and maps. It features hands-on displays that illustrate the regional geology and landscape features in the San Benito County region.

The GeoZeum is open to the public Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday by appointment.

Programs offered include San Andreas Fault walking tours, “Geology for Fun” classes for all ages, field trips and monthly presentations. Coordinated classes for fourth-and sixth-grade curriculum will also be available.
