Sujatha Ranasinghe February 19, 1943 – June 6, 2016

A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 11th, 20016, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, 17400 Peak Ave, Morgan Hill. This will be followed by a Viewing at LIMA-CAMPAGNA-JOHNSON FUNERAL HOME at 17720 Monterey St. Morgan Hill, and will conclude with Pansakula (Buddhist Ceremony) at 2:30 PM.
 Sujatha Ranasinghe of Morgan Hill, CA, passed away on Monday June 6th, 2016, at the age of 73.
 Sujatha was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka in 1943. She was the third child of nine. She graduated from Visakha Vidyalaya School for Girls.
 In 1962, she married Rienzie Ranasinghe and moved to Dehiwala to begin a family.
 In 1985, they relocated to the Bay Area with their two children, Chula and Charika. Sujatha began teaching at Rainbow Montessori in Sunnyvale that same year, and taught children for 23 years until she retired. She and Rienzie moved to Morgan Hill in 2003, and she has been an active member in St. Catherine’s Church, a volunteer at El Toro Elementary, as well as active in Sri Lankan community events based out of the Dharmapala Institute in Milpitas.
 Sujatha is survived by her son, Chula; her daughter, Charika; and three grandchildren, Shari, Thomas, and Matthew. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rienzie. She loved cooking, family, travel, and walks with her friends.
