Apolonia P. Sanchez passed away in Hollister at the age of 89. She was born in Ft. McKavett, TX and lived in Hollister since 1968 coming here from Junction, TX. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and liked sewing and cooking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Mary Lerma of Hollister, Dora Pompa of San Bernardino, Tony Sanchez of Junction, TX, Stella Paradella of Stockton, Fernando Sanchez of Hollister, Janie Sanchez of Hollister and Jimmy Sanchez of Madera. She is preceded in death by her son, Edward Sanchez and is also survived by her nephew and his family, Vicente Perez of San Jose and her numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Friends can pay their respects on Monday, January 11, 2010 from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. A procession will leave the funeral home at 12:45 AM and proceed to Sacred Heart Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery.

Donations are preferred to The American Cancer Society.
