Local winery places at Chronicle competition
SAN JUAN BAUTISTA
– Six Strings Winery placed in the San Francisco Chronicle Wine
Competition this month. The winemakers, Gary Cornick and Iain
Crabb, received a silver medal for their 2006 Dry Creek Valley
Cabernet Sauvignon in the $25-$34.99 category. They also received a
bronze medal for their 2006 Santa Lucia H
ighlands Pinot Noir in the $25-$34.99 category. Last year, they
received a gold medal for the 2005 Pinot Noir, and a bronze for a
2006 Chardonnay.
Each wine in the competition is judged by more than 60
professional wine judges from across the country.

This is the second year in a row that all of the wines we
entered won awards.

Wines from Six Strings Winery are available at the Inn at Tres
Pinos, Ridgemark Golf and Country Club, the 19th Hole, Westside
Grill, VietAsia and the Windmill Market.

We are especially excited about winning a silver medal for our
Dry Creek Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as this was our first vintage
of this wine and it has been a great success,

The fruit for this wine comes from a vineyard in Sonoma that is
farmed using sustainable practices and will be certified
… later this year.

Crabb and Cornick, both musicians, say the wines are inspired by
music.
