David Lynn Ingersoll was born July 16, 1943 in Porterville, California. He went peacefully in the early morning hours of February 26, 2008 to be with his father Robert G. Ingersoll, his mother Lois Moren Ingersoll and his oldest brother Robert E. Ingersoll.

David’s family moved to Watsonville before he was of school age. He graduated from Watsonville High School in 1961. His creativity was evident as a young child. He was in various theatrical productions in school and also showed his talents in drawing and painting pictures. After finishing school he moved to San Francisco where he became a display director at Joseph Magnin’s. In 1970 David moved to Hollywood to work with his fashion designer brother, Richard. They traveled to New York, Europe and India, where David designed home accessory rugs and fabrics. He later returned to Watsonville where he did visual merchandising for Charles Ford Company.

David’s long time friend, Jeff Doherty opened a flower shop in Hollister and asked David to be the floral designer. Over the next few years David became known for his creative exquisite floral designs. His endeavors brought joy and satisfaction to his many loyal customers. He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched with his warm smile, sense of humor and generous spirit.

David is survived by his brother Richard, and sister Janice Easterly and husband John of Fresno; brother Gordon Ingersoll and brother Edwin and wife Oleta Ingersoll of Watsonville; sister in law Katrina Ingersoll Johnson of Clovis, California; niece Andrea and husband David Coffey; niece Janice and husband Bill Janzen; nephew Mark Ingersoll and wife Kim; nephew Brent Ingersoll and wife Sandy; niece Lorri and husband Todd Crowston; nephew Tom Easterly and wife Cathy; nephew Fred Easterly and wife Jeanetta, and many cousins.

A Remembrance and Celebration of David’s life will take place Saturday, April 19,2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Coffey Ranch, 14800 Pacheco Pass Highway, Hollister, five miles east of “Casa de Fruta” and across from Bell Station.
