The USA Sports gymnastics program had a strong outing in the Pink Meet Invitational last weekend at in Fremont. The program’s Level 5 team finished third with a score of 106.375. Chelsea DiLaura of Hollister won the individual title in the balance beam while placing third on the uneven bars.
Teammate and fellow Hollister resident Jada Mendoza placed second on the beam, third on the floor exercise and totaled 35.175 points to qualify for the Level 5 State Meet in November. USA Sports Level 3 team, which is the sport’s first competitive level, won the team competition with a score of 108.20.
