Burke Stewart of Longmont, CO passed away on August 26, 2015, at the age of 50, after battling cancer for many years.
He was the son of Justin Stewart and Jo Ann (Cummins) Stewart of Morgan Hill, CA.
Burke graduated Live Ok High School in Morgan Hill and attended Gavilan College in Gilroy, CA. He was the owner/operator of Mile High Remodeling in Longmont.
Burke moved to the Longmont area in 1992, and married his beloved wife, Sony Ralston on November 19, 1994 in Pinewood Springs, CO. They had three wonderful children: Kiley Lynea Stewart, 20; Lexey Kate Stewart, 17; and Christian Blake Stewart, 13. Burke adored his children and Sony and was beyond proud of his family.
He had a strong faith in God and shared the Word of Christ with everyone he encountered.
Burke enjoyed fishing, camping, and being outdoors, especially in summer. He was a meticulous professional remodeler and took great pride in doing a job to perfection.
He raised pigeons as a hobby, enjoyed gardening, loved the ocean, was a food enthusiast (Mexican food and a great prime rib were particular favorites); but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Jared Kenneth Stewart; both sets of grandparents, his cousin, Jeff Cummins; his father-in-law, Kenneth, Kenneth’s twin brother, Keith, and their sister, Cheryl.
Burke is survived by wife, Sony and their children, Kiley, Lexey, and Christian Stewart; his mother, Jo Ann and father, Justin Stewart of Morgan Hill; his sister, Alycia Kuehne and her husband, Ben and their children, Addison and Ashton, all of Texas, and Athena Kahl of San Jose. Also, his mother-in-law, Andrea Ralston; his grandmother-in-law, Louise Ralston both of Longmont and many relatives and friends, too many to mention.
