His funeral service will be held on Saturday, October, 24, 2015, at 10:30 A.M., at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, located at 1735 Hecker Pass Highway in Gilroy, CA. A private reception and celebration of Jack’s life will follow the memorial. The family asks that any donations be made to the Jack Rymers Memorial at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.  Jack, 79, of Gilroy, CA, passed away on Thursday, October, 15, 2015.
 He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Norma, and his son, Gregory. He is also survived by his sister, Kathy Derickson (Jim) and his two brothers, Robert Rymers (Janie) and Richard “Ricky” Rymers (Lori), in addition to several nieces and nephews.
 Jack was born in Ohio, but moved to Gilroy in 1965. 
 He was well-known as an industrial arts teacher and track-and-field coach at Gilroy High School until his retirement in 1991. He was an avid golfer and a true “Red and Gold” 49er faithful.
 He traveled the world extensively, always eager to learn.
