San Benito County planners are hoping to receive more community feedback for the impending general plan update.
Planning Director Art Henriques said the official deadline for the update’s community survey was Oct. 12, but his department is still accepting responses. The general plan update, expected to take several years, will shape the county’s future growth.
So Henriques said it’s important to get as much feedback as possible.
“We’re holding it open, but we’ll have to close it within the next week or so,” he said.
When mailing the surveys, the Planning Department wasn’t able to find a reliable list of local renters, but Henriques said he wants their input too.
In preparation for the update, the county has also held meetings with other government agencies, community groups and county residents.
