Bondy J. Boscacci passed away Wednesday afternoon at the age of 72 at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Hollister, he attended Sacred Heart School, Bellarmine High School in San Jose and San Jose State College. Bondy was owner and operator of the San Benito Hotel and Bar for over 50 years. Member of Ridgemark Golf and Country Club and the Hollister Elk’s Lodge.

Bondy was preceded in death by his parents, Maria and Abbondio Boscacci. He is survived by his brother Emil Boscacci of Portland, Oregon, and also survived by his niece, Christina Boscacci and her fiance, Jacob Herman, who felt honored to have taken care of him the last year during his failing health.

As per his wishes, he will be cremated with inurnment with his parents in Calvary Cemetery. A memorial service is planned. Contributions are preferred to St. Jude’s Children’s Research and the American Lung Assn., in care of Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home.
