 Francisco (Quico) Gamez Torres of Hollister, CA passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 27, 2014, at the age of 90.
 Quico was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be dearly missed.
 Quico was born in Tornillo, TX, on December 3, 1923, to the late Julia and Geronimo Torres. Quico married his beautiful bride, the late Elfida Parra Torres on February 17, 1947.
 Quico was a beloved member of the community and could frequently be found chatting it up with his friends and neighbors. He loved life and it was evident in his smile and boisterous laughter.
 In 1958, Quico joined Almaden Vineyards and enjoyed many years there, until his retirement in 2003.
 Quico was the eldest of six siblings: Tina Sandoval of Los Angeles; Manuel Torres, Dolores Torres, Hipolito Torres and Geronimo Torres all of Mexico.
 Quico is survived by three children; Gloria Pena of San Jose: Francisco (Paco) Torres Jr. of Hollister; Maricela (Mari) Torres-McDowell and Peter McDowell of Pleasanton. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The legacy of grandchildren are Ischelle Gonzales (Henry), Frank Torres, Joe Pena II (Tamu), Cristino Torres (Andreya), Leticia Denise Pena, Alicia Marie Torres-Weyandt (Chris), Jack Angel McDowell. The great-grandchildren include: Michael, Jeffery and Cristian Barber. Cristyana, Alyssa, Ryan and Alexander Torres; Layla Torres-Weyandt and Aaliyah and Kazi Pena.
