He does about 35 shows per year and competes in 25 competitions.
The 31-year-old’s antics on the Gas Pro bike were one of the crowd favorites during this year’s rally. Large crowds gathered around during his shows on the east end of Fifth Street.
With perfect control, Aaron was able to control his 150-pound bike with ease, making it bounce whichever way he wanted whenever he wanted even while doing nearly vertical wheelies.
He would ride up and down a one-foot ramp on just his front or back tire. He could even jump six feet in the air to a higher platform without a ramp and without a headstart.
Aaron climbed a nine-foot triangle bar with hardly any lead room. He balanced on top of it for a couple seconds with just the under part of his frame while both wheels hung on air.
Another stunt involved hopping across three three-foot high giant Red Bolt cans with one tire. The highlight of the performance was when Aaron had the announcer lay flat on his back. Aaron made a couple quick stops right before stopping just shy of the announcer’s face. And finally he jumped over the announcer.
If that wasn’t enough, he picked four additional members from the crowd to be jumped. Sure enough. He cleared all five with ease.
“I tensed up a little,” said Sabrina Vitale, who along with her Hollister friends Kendall Scotton and Courtney Galdos were three of the lucky ones picked Saturday during on of the shows. “I had no doubt he would make it though.”
Aaron, who is the founder of Extreme Riding Entertainment, travels all over the country to put on shows, staying mostly on the west coast. This was the second year he has been in Hollister.
“It’s really low pressure compared to the competition,” Aaron said. “I just enjoy making people smile.”
Aaron will be performing another show at Laguna Seca this weekend.
