Dear Editor,
The plain and simple truth is that a casino is a HORRID idea, and anyone actually thinking that it will better our communities needs to hand over whatever they’ve been smoking and spend some time in the real world.
A casino in San Benito County would destroy our communities. Casinos cause nothing but traffic nightmares, excess crime and can destroy families.
A gambling addiction could be easily turned into a nightmare for many families, as those who normally would have to drive a few hundred miles to blow a single paycheck are able to drive right down the street, and blow their paycheck, their car payment, house payment etc.
It is a horrible, horrible thing, and, truthfully, if a casino is built, my family will be moving to an area that is not casino friendly.
