Robert “Bob” Franklin Nirschl of Pendleton, OR, Gilroy, CA and Bermuda Dunes, CA died March 25th, 2014 at his home in Bermuda Dunes.
Bob was born on February 5th, 1934 in Pendleton, OR to parents Albert and Pearl Nirschl.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was a lifetime Elk’s member. Bob was a prominent businessman in Pendleton, where he owned A&W and Taco Time restaurants.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Ellen Nirschl; brother Bill Nirschl; and his parents, Albert and Pearl Nirschl.
Bob is survived by his wife, Sandy Sorenson-Nirschl; brother Jim Nirschl; and children, Steve Nirschl and his wife, Robin Nirschl; Todd Nirschl; Debbie Smith; Michael Sorenson and his partner, Galen Duplantis; Debbie Sorenson-Corona; his four grandchildren, David Corona and his wife, Victoria; John Corona; Kayla Nirschl; Elli Nirschl; and his great-grandson, Colton Corona.
“POPS”, as he was affectionately known, loved to play golf and travel in his beloved motorhome. He was a member of Bermuda Dunes Country Club. He will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family.
“Margarita Time” will never be the same again! Rest In Peace Pops! We love you!
