They did not just see to my needs, they also informed my husband
who was in the waiting room how long it would take.
Dear Editor:
On Friday, June 13, 2003, I had a procedure performed on my back by Dr. Ashokan. Living in Salinas, this was my first visit to your beautiful Hazel Hawkins Hospital.
Upon my arrival, I was greeted with politeness and friendly smiles. From the check-in desk to the room where I was prepped for the procedure, the nurses never left my side.
They were attentive, caring and instrumental in assuring me that everything would be alright.
Upon completion of the procedure, I was wheeled back to the recovery room, where the nurses were right there checking me, making sure that I was being kept warm and comfortable.
They did not just see to my needs, they also informed my husband who was in the waiting room how long it would take. And once I was through, they informed him that everything was OK and he could come in and see me.
In my estimation, the HHH staff takes that extra step in showing compassion and genuine care. Upon being treated this way made this experience so much easier.
Not only does the staff perform in a professional manner, a person gets the impression they genuinely like their job in attending to the individuals needs.
The staff is not only superb, the hospital itself is beautifully designed and kept very clean. I certainly hope your community realizes how fortunate they are to have such a caring hospital.
Last of all, I would like to thank all those that I came in contact with for making me feel so at ease. I’m having three more procedures performed at Hazel Hawkins Hospital and I’m sure that the treatment will be just as wonderful!
Cheri Keith,
Salinas
