Genine Christina Holquin and Amado Meraz have announced their plans to marry in August.
Holquin is the daughter of Richard and Barbara Holquin of Ridgemark.
Holquin, who is currently completing her masters degree in education at California State University of Stanislaus, graduated from San Benito High School in 1995.
She works at CSU Stanislaus as a program coordinator for the faculty mentor program.
Meraz is the son of Victormanuel and Maria DeResugio Merez of Firebaugh.
Meraz, who currently works as a social science teacher at Grace Davis High School, is a 1994 graduate of Dos Palos High School.
The couple were engaged on Jan. 1, 2001 in Firebaugh at the groom’s family home.
