although it is a good source to use as an example. There are really
no specific peak speeding times. It’s continuous all day.

Radar guns and tickets will not get the attention of these drivers. With their attitude, all this does is put a so-what, big deal smirk on their face. They’re happy to pay fines, take points on their insurance and attend traffic school if required. This is no punishment. However, if revoking their license for one year were added to the punishment, this would get their attention.
It would be nice to see more people shopping downtown. Downtown Hollister is not shopper friendly. Most daytime shoppers are seniors and people with disabilities. Many of these people require handicapped parking. Where is handicapped parking on San Benito Street or Fifth, Sixth or Seventh streets for that matter? Isn’t the city in violation of the DMV code requiring handicapped parking?
