Dale "Papi" Oliver in his rose garden

Services will be held at Johnson Funeral Home Thursday, September 25th at 11:00 A.M., 17720 Monterey Street, Morgan Hill, CA 95037.
Dale Oliver passed away Monday September 15th, 2014, with his family by his side. Dale was 74.
He is survived by his wife Janet Oliver, step-sons Jimmy Kristoff and Scott Ban, daughter-in-law Kelley Ban, grandchildren Ashley and Holly Ban, sister Ella Pulikonda, nephew David with his wife Theresa.
Dale was a native of Washington State where after High School he joined the navy. After discharge, he moved to California where he started a career with General Electric’s Nuclear Division.
He met and married Janet in 1971 and moved to Morgan Hill.
Dale enjoyed his home, loved gardening and had a rose garden he was very proud of. He also enjoyed woodworking and if you were truly lucky, you were gifted with one of his beautifully hand carved maple leaves.
He enjoyed boating and taught two generations of family members how to water-ski.
He retired from a career that took him to many places all over the world. He loved to travel but loved his home even more. We will miss his beautiful singing voice, bbq’ing, “papi-stew” his laughter and gentle spirit.
