 Norma Sumiko Morioka (nee Shintani) was born in Gilroy, CA in 1932, and passed away in Morgan Hill on November 13, 2014.
 With her family, she was interned at Heart Mountain relocation camp in Wyoming during WWII. Returning to the Bay Area after the war, she graduated from Live Oak High School as Salutatorian.
 Later, she graduated from Santa Clara County Hospital School of Nursing, where she was class president.   
 She worked as an RN at Wheeler Hospital in Gilroy until leaving to raise her family in Morgan Hill.
 She was famous for her culinary skills – especially when it came to apple pie.
 She was predeceased by her husband, George, and her sister, Evelyn Hattori.
 She is survived by her children, Cindy (Librado) Perez, Barbara (Bill) Manegold, Jeff (Nellie) Morioka, Susan (Steve) Sakai and Michael (Karen) Morioka and her
brothers, Iwao and Kiyoshi Shintani and many nieces and nephews as well as ten grandchildren who will all miss her deeply.
