Jan passed away at her home in San Francisco on Sunday, January 8, 2017.
An eighth generation Californian, Jan was born in San Francisco, CA on May 11, 1947, the daughter of Jose P. Flores and Mary Eleanor (DeRoza) Harper. She lived all her life in San Francisco, attended Notre Dame Grammar School and Mission High School.
She married Thomas Richard Knudson on January 29, 1966. One son, Donovan, was born of this union. They later divorced.
Jan worked for many years at the Pacific Stock Exchange and later as a Behavior Detection Officer at SFO, before retiring in early 2016.
Jan was predeceased by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her son Donovan, daughter-in-law Janelle, granddaughter Deanna, and two grandsons Jaden and DJ, all of San Francisco. Also surviving are her sister and brother-in-law Sarah and Larry Bertine of Hollister, nieces Laura Bertine Schmitzer of Morgan Hill, Mary Bertine of Chester, NJ, and nephew John Bertine of San Carlos, as well as many cousins.
