Drug agents Friday seized nearly 300 marijuana plants from an indoor growing operation in San Juan Bautista, according to the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office.
At 10:20 a.m. Friday, authorities served a search warrant in the 100 block of Via Vaquero Sur in San Juan and found 299 growing marijuana plants ranging in height between one and four feet tall, according to an announcement from the county sheriff’s office.
Four rooms in the home were converted specifically for growing pot, according to authorities.
At the home, agents arrested Tuan H. Pham, 31, without incident. Authorities booked him into the San Benito County Jail.
According to the announcement:
Grow lights, ballasts, growing beds, nutrients and timers were part of the clandestine operation. The electrical power line leading into the residence was also altered, causing the theft of utilities from the power company.
