This is the suspect reportedly shot and killed.

Authorities have canceled an Amber Alert for an 11-year-old girl who was abducted by an armed suspect at a San Jose home early Friday morning.

The suspect, 42-year-old Tri Tuong Le, reportedly has been shot and killed by police roughly 12 hours after the abduction.

Le reportedly forced his way into a home on Taffy Court in San Jose at 1:18 a.m. and fired several rounds from an unknown type of firearm before taking 11-year-old Taylor Vo at gunpoint and fleeing, according to police

No one was struck by the gunfire, though Le did assault one of the residents inside the home, police said.

Police said Le was known to the residents inside the home. He and the girl reportedly were found several miles away from the home.

“This is not a stranger abduction,” SJPD said in a release.

Le left the scene in a dark-color minivan with an unknown make, model or license plate number. Le is described as a 5-foot-6-inch Asian male, 170 pounds, wearing a black baseball cap, black jacket and blue jeans.

Le’s prior criminal history included charges of domestic violence and driving under the influence.
