I normally do not pay attention to anonymous letters. However, Erin Musgrave’s article about “anonymous hate mail” in the April 22 Free Lance caught my eye.
The Election Office acknowledged poll officials made an error in March 2004 by allowing Maria Araujo to vote a second conventional ballot instead of a provisional ballot. The incident was investigated and all charges were dropped.
It has been nearly a year, and someone sends Araujo a hateful unsigned letter. That someone is sick and does not know it.
