Anzar High sophomore Cheyenne Monde leaped 18 feet, 9 inches to win the long jump at the Mission Trail Athletic League frosh-soph meet Tuesday.

The Hawks placed sixth with 33 points.

Another top performer for the Anzar boys was freshman Cisco Heath, who took third in the 800-meter run at 2:24.7 and fourth in the 1,600 meters at 5:11.1.

Nick Brown was fourth in the 200 meters at 26.6 and fifth in the 100 meters at 12.6.

Other Hawks include Justin Hatt, who was sixth in the 300 hurdles with a time of 58.1 and sixth in the 65-meter hurdles at 12.6. George Medland placed sixth in the triple jump at 35-7 and the Anzar boys were fourth in the 1,600-meter relay with a time of 4:19.2.

The Hawk girls ended up with 12 points led by a third place in the 400-meter relay at 62.2. Erica Frazeur was fifth in the 800 meters at 3:01.6, while Sarah Finstad was fifth in the shot put with a toss of 26-1.5.

Two sixth-place finishers were Amanda Olson, who ran a 15.1 in the 100 meters and Amy Knight, who went 4-2 in the high jump.
