The Balers defeated Santa Teresa on Thursday night 53-49. Santa Teresa came back in the second half when Kyle Sharp and Anthony Butler were sitting on the bench with four fouls. Sharp had 23, Butler had 15 and Kevin Zanella had nine points.

The Balers had a strong game from guards Eric Davis, Vince Bautista and Mike Moisa.

“We were pretty much in this same spot last year, said coach Dave Kaplansky, whose team is 4-1 after wining its last four games. “We played great in the first half of the game. That was the key to the win.”
