Hollister High girls hoop will get to know Seaside High’s gymnasium this week as the summer basketball season winds down with playoffs. Coach Amber Berg’s Hollister ‘B’ team squares off with Seaside in a championship showdown this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The Hollister ‘A’ team, coached by Tom Dean, plays Thursday at 6:30 p.m. for third place.

All of this coincides with a jamboree called “Greater Monterey Bay Summer Hoops”, which is also held at Seaside. The ‘A’ team plays Monday at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., while the ‘B’ team plays at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. On Tuesday, ‘B’ plays at 6:30 p.m. and ‘A’ plays at 7:30 p.m. Tourney action continues through the week.

Other teams in the jamboree include Independence, Notre Dame, Salinas, North County, Watsonville, Menlo-Atherton, Alisal, Alvarez, Greenfield, San Jose Academy and San Lorenzo Valley.
