All systems were go for the Hollister High boys hoopsters, who won all five games in the Watsonville Tournament this past weekend. There were no official title games, however, as originally reported.

Baler head coach David Kaplansky was ecstatic about the improvement over the weekend from two of his kids.

“Jason Sims looked good in the post and Mike Moisa looked good at the two guard,” said Kaplansky. “We’re looking at them to replace Danny Brooks and Broc Sondgroth next year.”

The Balers, who have 32 games scheduled this summer, play in the Hartnell College League Tuesay night vs. Alvarez at 6:30 p.m.

This weekend, Kaplansky has the team entered in the Los Gatos Tournament.

“They’ll be some good teams there,” said Kaplansky. “Hopefully, some good private schools. It will be good competition.”
