The Balers (1-10, 1-6 Tri-County Athletic League) were in most of the matches, two of them three-setters.

At No. 2 singles, Michael Blake won the first set 7-6, only to lose the next two 3-6, 3-6. At No. 3 doubles, Daniel Moyer and Dominique Aiello won their first set 7-6, only to fall 2-6, 3-6.

At No. 1 singles, Glen Morris lost a 6-7 tiebreaker then was downed 3-6 to lose in two sets. In a match closer than it looked, Isidro Trujillo and Pablo Andrade lost 3-6, 3-6 at No. 1 doubles.

“That was a hard-fought match,” said Baler head coach Allen Barker. “They were right in it.”

Perry Marks was topped at No. 3 singles 1-6, 1-6, while the doubles team of Mario Zaragoza and Ryan Watson were defeated 1-6, 0-6. Cameron Barker was defeated at No. 4 singles 2- 6, 3-6.

“There were a lot of close matches,” said Allen Barker. “It’s good to see the guys are really improving.”

The Balers host Palma on Tuesday at Ridgemark.
