District 9 Tournament on Monday night and easily defeated Gonzales
23-0 at North County Little League.

The Hollister Junior League All-Stars opened up play in the District 9 Tournament on Monday night and easily defeated Gonzales 23-0 at North County Little League.

Hollister will square off against Continental in Thursday’s quarterfinal round. The two teams will meet up at Muni Stadium in Salinas at 7:30 p.m.

Major Division

In the Major Division, Hollister National defeated Greenfield 13-2 on Sunday and will play Continental on Wednesday at Atlantic Little League at 5 p.m. Hollister American, meanwhile, defeated Atlantic 5-0 on Sunday and will square off against Hartnell at North County Little League on Wednesday at 5 p.m.

10-11 All-Stars

The Hollister American 10- and 11-year-old All-Stars defeated Continental 15-1 on Monday night in Gonzales. Hollister American will now play Gonzales in Wednesday’s quarterfinal round at Salinas’ Ferrasci Little League at 5 p.m.

The Hollister National 10- and 11-year-old All-Stars, meanwhile, received a first-round bye and will square off against Hartnell during Wednesday’s quarterfinal round. First pitch is 5 p.m. at Gonzales.

9-10 All-Stars

The Hollister National 1 9- and 10-year-old All-Stars defeated Greenfield 13-1 on Saturday in King City, and will compete in Tuesday’s second round against Hollister American 2, which had a first-round bye.

The game against the two local foes will take place at Salinas’ Hartnell Little League at 5 p.m.

Also, Hollister American 1 defeated Salinas’ Continental 21-3 on Saturday, and will play Salinas’ Hartnell during Tuesday’s second round. The game is slated for Salinas’ Ferrasci Little League at 5 p.m.

Hollister National 2 suffered a 14-0 loss to Soledad on Saturday, however, and will play King City in the elimination bracket on Tuesday at Salinas’ Atlantic Little League.

First pitch is 5 p.m.
