Rebekah Children’s Services, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting the social, emotional and physical well-being of children and families, announced Bill Faus has been elected to the Board of Directors as Member at Large.
Bill and his family came to Gilroy in 1983 where he worked 26 years for the City and retired in 2009 as Gilroy’s Planning Division Manager. Bill’s local volunteer work started with Rebekah Children’s Services in 1985, and included their community advisory committee for many years. He was also involved with the Gilroy Historic Society, Chamber of Commerce and local soup kitchen at the Armory. In 2004, he completed the Gilroy Leadership program. In retirement, he transitioned into nonprofit and charity work, volunteering as a museum docent, St. Joseph’s Food Pantry, Boy Scouts and serving on the Board of Directors for the Gilroy Compassion Center. He currently chairs the Chamber’s Government Review Committee.
