Ruben Guerrero watches his son Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero during a press conference Thursday at a private gym in Gilroy.

Wednesday’s final news conference before Saturday’s WBC welterweight title fight was meant for the fighters, as Gilroy boxer Robert Guerrero will face pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr.

But it was Guerrero’s father and trainer, Ruben Guerrero, who stole the show.

Ruben Guerrero stood at the podium and yelled in front of media how his son would “beat that woman beater.” Mayweather was released from jail in August after serving two months of a domestic-violence sentence.

“We’re gonna beat that woman beater,” Ruben Guerrero shouted from the podium.

Following the news conference, a fight nearly broke out between Ruben Guerrero and Mayweather’s father and trainer, Floyd Mayweather Sr., who have shared a war of words on YouTube.

Guerrero (31-1-1, 18 KOs) will face Mayweather (43-0, 26 KOs) for Mayweather’s WBC welterweight belt Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The fight will be televised on Showtime Pay Per View.
