‘Spamalot’ auditions

The San Benito Stage Company is holding auditions for “Spamalot,” a musical comedy, on Dec. 7, with check in at 6 p.m. and auditions to start promptly at 6:30 p.m., and Dec. 8 with check in at 9:30 a.m. and auditions to start at 10 a.m. at the Granada Theater, 336 Fifth St., Hollister. The show is open to ages 18 and up. The cast needs include a minimum of 13 men and eight women. Bring sheet music or music-only CDs. Be prepared for a cold reading. Class of 2003 reunion

The SBHS Class of 2003 is proud to announce their 10-Year Reunion. Please join us by attending the event which will be hosted at The Vault in Downtown Hollister on April 20, 2013. After Dec. 31 it will be $30 per person.

Adopt-a-Book

The Friends of the San Benito County Free Library invite the community to be sponsors for its Adopt-a-Book fundraiser through “Birdies for Charity” to buy books for the San Benito County Free Library. For every dollar donated, the Monterey Peninsula Foundation will match it plus 15 percent. If donations are made online at www.attpbgolf.com/birdiesforcharity/donations, 20 percent additional funds will be added to the donation. Brochures with information on how to donate are available at San Benito County Free Library, the Chamber of Commerce office and at local golf clubs. Brochures and donations should be returned to Friends of the San Benito County Free Library, 470 Fifth Street, Hollister, CA 95023 unless donating online.

Fellowship open

The Center for California Studies is offering a fellowship program for recent college graduates with a bachelor’s degree. The opportunities include the Jesse Marvin Unruh Assembly Fellowship, Senate, Executive and Judicial fellowships. Applicants must be 20 years of age by Sept. 1, 2013. Graduate, postgraduate and mid-career applicants are also welcome. The deadline to apply for a fellowship is Feb. 11, with each fellowship having its own requirements. Limeade benefit

Sunnyslope Elementary School received $1,051.45 from Sonic through its Limeades for Learning program. The school entered with a goal of using the money toward a school library.     The program completed its fourth annual voting campaign in partnership with DonorsChoose.org, with people voting online for their choice project. Sonic funded $600,000 worth of the most-voted projects on a weekly basis, from Dept. 24 through Oct. 29.
