The Hazel Hawkins Hospital Pink Glove Dance video scored big for The Giving Ribbon, a non-profit breast cancer support services group.

Hazel Hawkins Hospital placed second in California for the most votes and came in 42nd out of 275 hospitals nationwide. While the hospital didn’t win the competition, they certainly were winners in the eyes of board members

Jamie Inman, M.A., LMFT and Trish Brem from the Giving Ribbon organization when Mary McCullough, San Benito Health Care District board member presented them with a check for $2,000 from the sale of the hospital’s Pink Glove Dance video and donations from the community.

“We are thrilled with the support from our community” said Danette Perrien, director of Surgical Services and Pink Glove dance organizer.   “Between their votes, donations, and purchasing the video we we’re able to donate the same amount of money as if we’d won 3rd place in the competition.”

The money donated to The Giving Ribbon will go toward providing resources to women with breast cancer who reside in San Benito County.
