Bruce Edward Yokoi was born in Gilroy, CA on November 16, 1951, and gently passed away on October 30, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. Bruce was preceeded in death by his father, Paul Hideo Yokoi.

 Bruce is survived by his mother, Yoshie Yokoi, and his sisters, Patty Matthiessen, Nancy Landon (Howard) and Elinor Yokoi, as well as nephews, a niece, an aunt and cousins.

 Bruce lived a good life, enjoying boyhood scouting activities with Dad, enduring piano lessons with his sisters, participating in water polo, competitive and marathon swimming, playing countless games of solitaire, cribbage and war card games with his niece and nephews, joining friendly poker games with da boys and watching entertaining cooking shows about food that would never be as good as Mom’s cooking.

 Bruce was trained as an EMT, worked security and inventory for private industries.

 Bruce enjoyed watching ESPN and football, and he knew that the San Francisco Giants had won the 2012 World Series.

 A memorial service will be arranged through Willow Glen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
