High Heels aren’t allowed on the golf course. I’m not talking about the dress code on the course, but a way to help you hit the ball further. Many golfers lose distance when they lift their heel too high off the ground on their back swing. Some ladies — and quite a few beginners — lift their heel until only the toe of their shoe is on the ground.
By trying too hard to shift their weight, this prevents a weight shift and the opposite knee to lock.
Next time, raise your heel slightly above the ground and keep both of your knees bent at all times. This will keep your swing in motion and give you more yardage that you’ve missed.

Golf Balls for Shorter Hitters
Many seniors, women and junior golfers do not use the right golf ball for their game.
The most common balls used by these players are the long-distance balls with cut-proof covers. These golf balls are designed to keep your ball flight low with little spin. These distance balls usually increase your distance by 3-5 yards.
If you can’t reach the green in regulation, a three-yard bump really doesn’t make that much of a difference.
The golf balls designed with mid-to-high spin will give your shots more lift and probably travel further anyway. The advantages of the higher spinning golf balls includes better control and feel around the greens.
