Survivor: KION TV 46 plans to host an open call for the CBS hit Survivor at Adventures by the Sea in Monterey (285 Figueroa Ave.) on Thursday, Jan. 8 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. All interested participants are encouraged to log on to KION46.com to download a copy of the application and a list of requirements to be eligible for the program.

Lake San Antonio: Lake San Antonio is offering Eagle Watch Boat Tours Jan. 17 through Feb. 28. The tours are from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays on selected weekends. Tours are $10 per person, with $2 off for seniors and children under 12. Children under age six are not permitted on the tour. Creative catalyst: Artist-educators from Gavilan College, Gilroy High School, Live Oak High School and San Benito High School are exhibiting the work they do when they are not teaching at Gavilan College’s main gallery in the library building, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd. now through Jan 16. Winter High School Prep basketball league: Hollister Recreation is currently taking registration for Winter High School Prep League Basketball. SBJ Chamber: The San Juan Bautista Chamber of Commerce will hold a dinner meeting Wednesday, Dec. 17. Library closed: The San Benito County Free Library canceled its annual Christmas movie viewing Dec. 17 because it will be upgrading its computer system that day. For information call 636-4107.

Rancho-Maze band: The Rancho-Maze Band will be performing at their holiday concert and raffle Thursday, Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Rancho gym. Raffle tickets are available from band members and will also be available at the door. Tickets are $1 each.
