Preschool Benefit: The San Juan Preschool Benefit, in conjunction with San Juan Community Service Organization, will be held Saturday, Feb. 28 at the VFW Hall in San Juan Bautista, 58 Monterey St., at 6:30 p.m. with special musical guest Daniel Valdez and the sounds of Somos. CFAS Class: The American Red Cross will hold a community first aid and safety class Saturday, Feb. 28. This class includes adult, infant and child CPR along with first aid. The cost is $50 and is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For prices or to register, call 636-2100.

Alive Driver: The AARP 55 Alive Driver Safety Program will be offered Saturday, Feb. 28. This one-day classroom refresher for motorists 50 and older will familiarize participants with driver safety, new DMV tests and laws. Three-year DMV certificates will be awarded for discounts on auto insurance upon completion of the program. No tests will be given. Space is limited so reserve your place in advance.
