Language Line needs employees
MONTEREY
– Language Line Services, a company with a headquarter in
Monterey, is seeking people with strong bilingual language skills
who want to work as telephone interpreters.
They hope to hire as many as 200 new interpreters as part of a
large-scale staffing effort started in Aug. 2007. Their
interpreters offer services in more than 170 languages 24 hours a
day. They are trained to assist hospitals, courts, 911 operators
and emergency first responders, as well as customer service
industries such as banking, telecom and insurance.

Working as a Language Line Services interpreter has strengthened
my linguistic capabilities and provided me with a broader set of
professional skills,

said Yolanda Almader, a Language Lines Services employee for
nine years.

It is also very rewarding to know that I am helping people every
day.
