The Hip Hop Clothing & Dance Studio opened recently near downtown Hollister after family members decided Sammy Ramirez – of “So You Think You Can Dance?” fame – needed a place to strut his stuff.
Manager Jon Martin explained how they opened the dance studio and store after his step-son, Sammy Ramirez, performed on the popular TV show last year.
The dance studio and store opened shortly before Christmas at 396 Fourth St. It offers studio instruction in such areas as jazz, lyrical, modern, contemporary, night club, salsa and belly dancing, Martin said. It is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
