Serene Home to continue services after store closure

While Serene Home will be closing its store front at 243 Sixth St., the business won’t be going away. Owner Jeri Hernandez has plans to continue it as a web-based business where people can still take orders and get other services, such as design consulting.

The home decoration and accessory business still has items to sell at the store, too, and it will hold a liquidation sale probably until sometime around mid-July, said Hernandez, who added how customers still can redeem gift certificates, preferably before July 1.

“It just depends on how much liquidation I have in the store,” she said.

After the store officially closes, she will transition the business into the web-based format while providing the design consultation. Hernandez noted how she does event planning as well and she can help people put on theme parties. She also will travel outside of the county to help, she said. The store remains open until the liquidation sale is completed. It is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
