Annie Borelli

Annie Borelli passed away Sunday morning at the age of 98. Born in Pian de Lago, Italy coming to Hollister in 1928.

She worked for the Hollister Cannery in 1928 then later she worked as co-owner of the Public Drive-In Market with her husband Antonio and brother-in-law, Frank Borelli. She also had worked as a clerk for Baughman’s (Ford’s) and Johnson Jewelers.

Annie was predeceased by her husband Antonio Borelli in 1991. She is survived by her Daughter Clorinda Zanella, husband, Nello and son, Anthony Borelli all of Hollister. Grandmother of Dan Zanella, wife, Karen, Noreen Zanella and Ted Zanella, wife, Lisa. all of Hollister. Sister of Pietro Piane of Italy, Luigi Piane of Canada and Mario Piane of Italy. Also survived by four great-grandchildren one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit at the Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. The funeral services will begin Thursday morning leaving the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. and proceeding to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5th & College Streets, for a funeral Mass commencing at 10:00 A.M. Graveside services will follow at the mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery.
